WHAT TO EXPECT

What to Expect When You Call

Speak with Alicia

If you are contacting us for the first time, you will be directed to Alicia, our client liaison. She will answer any questions and gather demographic information.

Insurance & Fees

Alicia will talk with you about insurance/fees. Your insurance will dictate the amount that you will pay. If you are not insured, Alicia can talk with you about affordable payment options.

Choose a Therapist

She will ask you about the reason you are coming to counseling as this helps her choose your therapist for you.

Scheduling

Finally Alicia will help you get scheduled for an appointment at our first available time. There is sometimes a short wait to be scheduled for the first time, especially if you need an evening appointment.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Easy to Find
We are easy to find on the west side of South Calhoun Street just one mile south of downtown. We are in a free standing brick building with black awnings. Parking is south of our building and marked with a sign. We are handicapped accessible.
Check In
When you arrive, you will check in at our front desk and be given a clipboard of information to complete. Alicia will already have informed you of your insurance benefit and your fees, prior to your arrival. You will see Alicia for an orientation and to sign paperwork before seeing your therapist.
Meet Therapist
You will, then, meet your therapist for the first time. The first meeting with your therapist involves an assessment to determine your strengths and needs, and your treatment plan. You and your therapist will get to know each other. You will begin to establish your own goals for treatment and you are on your way to feeling better!
